Project Description
The aim of Greece4.0 is to lead the Greek manufacturing industry in its digital transformation towards the implementation and application of smart practices in production facilities. The project will have the role of a test pillar of Industry 4.0, providing the necessary infrastructure and knowledge to develop, test and validate services such as Smart Sensors, Industrial IoT platforms, Digital Twins, Control Systems, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence in a safe and cost-effective approach for companies.
More specifically, the project will focus on research topics such as:
– Robotic Systems,
– Big Data Management Solutions,
– Simulation Systems – Digital Twins,
– Predictive and Predictive Maintenance Algorithms,
– Supply Chain Solutions,
– Prosthetic Manufacturing,
as well as other technologies that are of major interest to industry, society and the economy, in line with the priorities of the National Strategy for Smart Specialisation. The objectives of the project are divided into the technological objectives concerning the development of new technological solutions that will contribute to the flexibility and optimisation of the productive process of the country’s productive fabric, the increase of productivity and adaptability to market demand, digital and technological maturity, as well as the improvement of the competitiveness of the Greek economy and the addressing of important social and environmental needs.
